Q: How many cameras do I need?
A: You should think about areas that you want viewable to your parents. Parents of small children (1-3 years old) usually have more separation anxiety than that of older children. Cameras in these rooms would help create.
Q: Will my cameras run 24/7?
A: No, The cameras will stop streaming when center is closed. Please check with your center’s operating hours.
Q: Some of my staff may feel funny about being on camera, how should I handle that?
A: Observation cameras are just a part of life. They are also being observed when at the bank, shopping, and just about everywhere else they go. Studies have shown that observation systems encourage a safer more secure work environment.
Q: How many cameras can the system support?
A: The system can support up to 10 cameras. The Cameras are provided FREE of charge for every ten parent enrollments during the enrollment period. Just keep in mind your current internet usage. You might have to increase your internet service depending on the number of cameras.
Q: Can cameras be placed outdoor?
A: The cameras are indoor style cameras but could be placed outdoor in a completely covered environment.
Q: Can I record and playback videos from the cameras?
A: The standard ParentObserve system provides for real time observation only.
Q: What kind of signage do you have available for ParentObserve? How much are the signs?
A: We have an inside glass decal as well as an indoor/outdoor hard sign. A Free sign of your choice is provided for every 10 parent enrollments or $6 each additional. See website for more information.
Q: Can the director of the child care facility view all of the cameras?
A: Once registered and installed, the director can utilize the Administrative View Module, The cloud based module will allow you to view all of the covered areas at once or a particular room by itself.
Q: How do I adjust the camera views?
A: In the installation mode, your wireless cameras will be "discovered" and thus activated. You may then adjust them for proper angle view and zoom.
Q: How can you just give away a complete observation system?
A: ParentObserve was developed by Ident-A-Kid Services of America, Inc. (ISA). ISA has been providing child related safety products and services for over twenty-eight years. Millions of parents and tens of thousands of schools utilize services such as The IDENT-A-KID Program and CCSS (Visitor Management) every year. With the economies of scale and a dedication to building long term relationships with child care and education providers we are able to "invest" in the future by sharing much of the implementation costs.
Q: How do parents respond to the implementation of an observation system?
A: Most parents are ecstatic about being able to observe their child anytime they have the urge. It also assures parents that your facility is safe & sound and transparency is a priority. Some parents may be concerned about their child's image being "on the internet". Only you and your parents can see the images through ParentObserve. It is a closed circuit system utilizing a sophisticated high security protocol.
Q: Do you accept checks as a form of payment?
A: At this time, we accept credit cards and Paypal processed through the website.
Q: What do we do if a parent moves or their child is withdrawn?
A: You can deactivate an observation code with the administrator's control panel.
Q: Is the equipment, cameras, etc. ours to keep?
A: Yes, after the enrollment quotas are met, the equipment is yours. As a matter of fact all of the equipment has a lifetime warranty as long as you are using the ParentObserve System.
Q: What happens if I order 6 cameras and only 50 parents enroll?
A: After the enrollment period, if you have not reached the quota, you will receive a PayPal invoice for $99.00 for each camera not given free as part of the enrollment quota. If you enroll more parents and reach quota prior to the due date of the invoice, just let us know.
Q: What is the best way to get the highest number of parents to enroll?
A: Try to personally speak to each parent and demonstrate the ParentObserve system on your own smart phone. Also, be sure to hand write the parent's names and school code on each envelope. We can help increase your parent participation with reminder emails. Just provide us with a list of your parents and emails.
Q: We really love our ParentObserve System. Do you offer any incentives to "spread the word"?
A: Yes, if you love ParentObserve as much as we do, please let others know.
